DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF NON TEACHING

A) NON – ACADEMIC STAFF

i) LIBRARIAN
The duties & responsibilities of Librarian are –
• Establish and implement library policies and procedures
• Select, order relevant publications and journals
• Ensure a current and accurate inventory of library materials
• Guide students regarding internet resources
• Help students check out books and to provide suggestions about new books to read/study.
• Prepare budget for replace or get new reading materials
• Create an online database of all books, journals for easy access to staff members and students
• Register new inventory and update the database accordingly
• Research new reading trends and popular journals to add to the library
• Order new inventory from book supply companies

ii) OFFICE CLERK
The duties &responsibilities of lab assistant are –
• He/she is responsible for managing students and faculty records. Their main duties include helping conduct audits, gathering and filing student information.
• Ensuring that the student records are organized, accurate and complete
• Creating digital entries of paperwork and storing the records electronically
• Safeguarding students and faculties records and ensuring that everyone complies with the university standards
• Preparing invoices for any purchase made by department.
