“Panchakarma Free Health Checkup Camp”

Panchakarma Department of D.Y.Patil School of Ayurveda, Nerul, Navi Mumbai organized a Free Health Check Up camp for patients at Asha Medical and Educational Welfare Society, Survey No.93, Mhada Compound, Mankhurd, Govandi, Mumbai on Tuesday 20 th June, 2023.
Time – 10.30 am to 4:00 pm.
Highlights of Event:

  • This initiative was taken by our Dean Dr. Mahesh Kumar Harit Sir. He always encourages us for such programs.
  • Camp started at 10:30 am.
  • Camp was inaugurated by Dr. Ritu Wadhwa (HOD & Professor).
  • Dr. Ritu Wadhwa delivered a lecture on awareness of Basti Chikitsa in the ongoing Varsha Ritu.
Objective of event:
  • Diagnosis of patients of different ailments.
  • Management of diseases through medicines and diet regulation.
  • Providing Free Health care service to the community.
  • Exposure of health care service to the students and Interns.
Venue of the Event-
Asha Medical and Educational Welfare Society, Survey No.93, Mhada Compound, Mankhurd, Govandi, Mumbai
Activities conducted in the event:
  • Patients were diagnosed as per Ayurvedic principles.
  • Proper treatment and diet-regimen regulation was advised to patient as per Saam and Niraam Avastha.
  • Ayurvedic medicines were dispensed free of cost to patients according to the ailments.
  • Patients were given a detailed plan of Aahar-Vihar regimen to be followed.
  • Advice regarding the changes to be done in their dietary and daily regimens was given to all patients.
  • Panchakarma procedures which can be done at home-level like Snehan, Swedan (Tapa Sweda, Valuka Pottali Sweda), Lepa, Udwartan etc was taught to patients.
  • Patients needing Panchakarma Upachar and IPD care were suggested to visit IPD at the D.Y.Patil Ayurvedic College, Nerul
