DY.Patil Deemed to be University School of Ayurvedaa Department of Swasthavritta & Yoga, Nerul NaviMumbai Organized awareness lectures and medical camp for the old age home people. On 01/11/2021at Ashray old age home, sector 19. Nerul( Navi Mumbai) on the occasion of 6th National Ayurveda Day.

The aim of the program was to increase awareness among the Society regarding Ayurvedic Diet, Lifestyle and Principles of Ayurveda, as this year Ayurveda Day Theme is Ayurveda for Poshana., Every year on Dhanvantari Jayanti, AYUSH ministry & we all celebrated Ayurveda Day.

The program started by Dr. Anila Nair, PG student, Swasthavritta& Yoga, she welcomed all senior citizens and was followed by Dhanvantari Stavan. Prayer of Lord Dhanvantari.

Dr. Mangala Wange, HOD, Swasthavritta & Yoga, D. Y.Patil University School of Ayurvedaa, Nerul was delivered an awareness lecture on the Concept of Aahara (Diet) in Ayurveda and the management of common Geriatric problems.

The speaker highlighted Ayurvedic Diet principles. Like having balanced food, good eating habits, Daily exercise, Yoga, regular medical check-ups,s, etc. The audience was educated about maintaining good hygiene. Also, Dr. Mangala explains common Geriatric problems and their simple management. Doctors gave valuable advice to elderly patients having health problems. More than 30 senior citizens Men and women attended and benefited from the lecture and interactive session. In camp Immunity boosting medicines & in view of Diwali

Sugandhi Utne, packets were distributed to all. Both were sponsored by DY. Patil Deemed to be University School of Ayurvedaa, Nerul.
