Art and culture is an integral part of human society. Evolution of society is associated with the development of art and culture. The progress of India towards developed economy (at present developing economy) warrants wholesome development that includes showcasing its growth in art and culture as well. India is well-known for its tradition and contribution to the world in the field of art and culture and the tradition is being followed by the people of the present era.
Every School organizes annual art and culture festival at its campus. During the festival, the students and teachers participate in various events. To make the festival more competitive, students from different colleges / universities in and around Mumbai region are also invited to take part in these events.

The University regularly hosts many inter and intra college fests and cultural events. While the intra college fests intend to explore the talents of the students within a particular school, the-inter college fests are organized inviting participation from various colleges in or near Mumbai & Navi Mumbai region.
Along with discovering and boosting various talents, these fests also implant the skills of event organization and management in the students and help them develop qualities of effective leadership, team spirit and sportsmanship. Thus, D Y Patil University focuses on enhancing the lives of our students and endorses both curricular and extracurricular activities. These cultural fests offer a spectrum of excitement and are skilfully customized by the faculty and student coordinators to challenge the 'intellect' and "aesthetics" of the participants. The University believes that such activities are an important aspect of a student life ,for the overall holistic development of a student.
