Procedure of Committee

Procedure for filing the formal complaint/grievance:
1. Any Staff of the School of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, D.Y.Patil Deemed To be University, NaviMumbai may lodge a complaint.
2. Complaint should be made to Staff Grievance Redressal Committee.
3. Complaint may be oral, by email (staffgrievancesbb@gmail.com) or in writing. If the complaint is oral, it will be converted into a written form by the SGRC member who received the complaint and authenticated by the complainant under his / her signature as soon as possible.
4. Upon receipt of complaint by any member of SGRC, the member should forward it to staffgrievancesbb@gmail.com.
5. If the complainant would not like to reveal his/her name for any grievance, they can drop the grievance(s) in the drop box placed outside the Library.
Process for addressing the Grievance:
1. Upon receipt of complaint, a response is sent to the complainant acknowledging the receipt of grievance by the Convenor of the Staff Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC).
2. Staff Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC) meeting is called and the members of the Committee study the application, look into the relevant documents and discuss with those concerned. The Committee, if required, may also call for a deposition by the complainant and the person against which the complaint has been made.
3. The recommendations and report are submitted to the Director, and final decision is taken by the Director.
4. The Chairperson/Convenor of SGRC communicates the decision to the concerned person.
5. The Convenor maintains an updated record of all complaints, actions taken and closure status.
6. In case the complaint has been made against a member of the SGRC the concerned member will be barred from participating in any proceedings till the case has been closed.
