Department of OMFS

• To do justice to the complete scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
• To constantly stay updated by incorporating latest techniques and advantages.

Oral Medicine and Radiology

Align the departments activity and goals with the institution’s mission by keeping the department calibrated, mission of the institute primary and frequently reviewing activities to ensure no outlier activity/project vis-à-vis institution’s adopted mission.
In support of the institution, the department will strive for excellence in all of our services to our patients to provide the most effective treatment, adopt the advanced diagnostic technologies made available and endeavour to identify the latest advancement of technologies in dental facility that may be considered by the institution for implementation.
The department will work in order to:
a. Assist the institution in achieving the highest degree of oral health possible in an atmosphere of trust and compassion
b. To provide a learning environment in which faculty, staff and student can discover, examine critically, preserve and transmit the knowledge, wisdom and values that provide highest potential of intellectual, physical and human development.

Orthodontics

The mission of the Department is to train both undergraduate dental students and post graduate students to be proficient in the clinical specialty of orthodontics, at their respective levels. The Department of Orthodontics endeavors to provide excellence in orthodontic education and superlative patient care, as a well as encouraging erudite activity and research with an aim to enrich the wellbeing and health of the community at large. To enrich our patients lives by enhancing their dento-facial esthetics, functional efficiency and structural balance. To promotes research culture among faculty and students. Faculties are encouraged to participate in professional academic programmes and publish in academic journals. We aim not only to foster and develop a conducive environment for academic pursuit but also to enhance and encourage all round individual development with critical thinking and evidence-based orthodontics with a goal to add to the orthodontic cornucopia by completion of a curriculum broadly representative of basic and applied science and a high level of advanced clinical skills. The principles of scientific research design and evaluation are emphasized.

To maintain the department that is regarded as equal to any in terms of its relevance of teaching and research, its quality of support and facilities and learning opportunities and clinical experience it offers.

• To prepare students to have a knowledge of the basics of Public Health, Dental Public Health, Preventive Dentistry, Public Health Problems in India, Nutrition, Environment and their Role in Health, Dental Statistics, Epidemiology and National Oral Health Policy.
