D.Y.Patil University School of Dentistry proudly organised an educational tour to London. It was a highly informative trip as the students gained a lot of theoretical as well as practical knowledge on a variety of topics. 
Day 1 : visited King’s College of London wherein an excellent session on ‘Minimally Invasive Dentistry’ was held by Dr. Chrisoula Nicolopoulos. The students got a chance to sneak a peek into the extraordinary set of facilities provided by the university and acquired a lot of knowledge. 
Day 2: The students learned about the history of dentistry at the British Dental Association Museum. A seminar was conducted by Dr. Margaret Wilson and Dr. Brain Williams on historical practises of dentistry.
  Day 3: The students enjoyed a skilful session and hands on experience on ‘Implants for Beginners’ at St. Mary’s University, Twickenham by Dr. Marco Cascone, an acclaimed implantologist and an expert in guided bone regeneration. A short session on ‘How to register yourself as a Dental Hygienist in the UK and legally establish practice’ by Dr. Anita Pradhan was also held. 
Day 4: An interactive session on ‘ORE and LDS route to being a dentist in the UK’ was held at Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, London.  In addition to the educational aspect of the trip, the students also explored the beautiful city of London, enjoy scenic areas such as the London Eye, Buckingham palace, Trafalgar square, the big ben, the palace of West Minister, Thames River Cruise and a tour of the Old Trafford stadium in Manchester.
  All in all, the trip turned out to be extremely knowledgeable as well as enjoyable. The feedback from students was very positive and they enjoyed this amazing tour.
