Department of Public Health Dentistry of D.Y. Patil Deemed to be University, School of Dentistry in association with Rotary Club of Addiction Prevention 3141 conducted a dental check-up and screening camp on 22 nd December 2022 at B ward BMC office, near JJ hospital. The staff Dr Ketaki Bhor and Dr Siddharth Acharya along with interns: Atoofa Tadeen, Ayesha Shaik, Dhanashree Bandiwadekar and Mayank Singh participated in the camp.
The objective of the camp was to conduct dental check-up and screen the patients for potentially malignant lesions and educate them on the harmful effects of tobacco and conduct awareness about tobacco cessation.
A total of 240 patients were examined and appropriate treatment and counseling was recommended. Travelers and common public commuting and staying in B ward BMC office, near JJ hospital area were also benefitted from this initiative.
