A Faculty development programme on research methodology was held on 19th& 20th March 2015 at 09:00 am for the faculty members of school of nursing.The resource persons were Dr. Swati V Kambli and Ms. Aswathy Lekha Aby. Total number of participants were 13.
Objectives:
- To provide comprehensive over view of research methodology

- To improve the academic capability and research skills

Methodology is the systematic, theoretical analysis of the methods applied to a field of study. Research methodology is the specific procedures or techniques used to identify, select, process and analyse information about a topic. During the conference it was well explained about how to apply research methodology in nursing

Topics on research methodology were covered by Dr. Swati V Kambli and Ms.AshwathiAby. Application of research methodology in different fields of nursing, especially in clinical nursing practice was dealt by Ms.Ashwathi Lekha Aby. The speakers provided their fruitful contributions in the form of highly informative presentations and made the conference a top notch one.

At the end of the conference there was an interactive session in which the delegates were given chances to clear their doubts as well as share their experiences in the field of nursing research.

Outcomes:
- All the aspects of research methodology were covered in the session and the participants got a clear idea about application of research in the field of Nursing.
- The delegates gave positive feedback about the conference.
- College of nursing looks forwards to conduct similar programmes in the future.
