Journal Club Session-1
Date: 09th Nov, 20202 Time: 1pm to 2 pm

Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Rita Lakhani, Principal, DYPSON formed the Journal club at DYSON. Its 1st session was conducted on 9th November 2020 between 1 pm to 2 pm.

The Chairperson welcomed all the members to the Journal Club. Journal Club Secretary welcomed the Chairperson and the members.

The Journal Club is an educational meeting in which a group of individuals discusses published articles, to keep themselves up-to-date with new knowledge, promoting in them an awareness of current research findings, teaching them to critique and appraise research and encourage them to utilize research in the evidence-based practice of the specialty. It is the presenter’s interpretation that is more important than actually rehashing the contents of the article. As per the schedule of the Journal Club, Medical-Surgical Dept.HOD cum Principal, DYPUSON conducted the 1st session.

Dr. Rita Lakhani madam took through all the aspects of the research study from the research question, problem statement, operational definitions, need/background of the study, ROL, Research methodology, result and discussed the study to understand the research process and implications of the study.

It was really a thoughtful and interesting topic. All the faculties have verbalized that research was not thought on the nursing process and all congratulated Dr. Rita Lakhani madam for conducting research on a thoughtful topic and discussing this topic in Journal Club.

The Journal Club session ended at 2 pm with a vote of thanks to Respected Dr. Rita Lakhani madam for starting the Journal club.
