DY Patil Deemed to be University, School of Medicine (Navi Mumbai) with immense honor and pride celebrates completion of 31 years in Medical Education & Healthcare, successfully serving mankind.

This all began with the vision of Honorable Dr. D.Y. Patil the Founder President of the DY Patil Group, with the dream of making DYPSOM an institute that plays a crucial role in shaping students to become pioneers in the field of medicine. Located in the heart of Navi Mumbai, DYPSOM is a center of teaching, research and learning for more than 2,000 students.

Another area in which India needed leadership and investment was healthcare, where our Founder President believed that every Indian should be able to get basic healthcare facilities free of charge in order to sustain a standard livelihood. In the last 35 years, Dr. DY Patil has been successful in creating multiple healthcare facilities catering to the lower-income group and hosting several charitable health & education schemes for the general population.

Our Honorable Chancellor – Dr. Vijay Patil sir’s relentless pursuit of excellence has made DY Patil University a consortium of 10 renowned educational institutes producing thousands of talented graduates every year.

The students also experience engaging learning, training, coaching, and mentoring sessions from the best, brightest, and highly qualified faculty in the University.

The University uses Simulation technology which has set new standards in Education, especially in Medical Education. Medical simulation has become a supplement to ward-based bedside learning. Medical Simulation uses personnel devices and technology to mimic scenarios as observed in real patients and in various disease conditions. This helps undergraduate and postgraduate students to learn and acquire skills in diagnostic and invasive therapeutics without compromising the autonomy and safety of a real patient.
