Legends Cafe

A plush and massive dining space comprising couches, bar stools and comfortable chairs, television screens, 24×7 food service, and a variety of cuisines. The cafe provides healthy, wholesome and mouth-watering delicacies from around the world under one roof. The cafe is our very own “ Legends Cafe ” – specifically designed to cater to the needs of students who reside on campus and study throughout the night as well as for those who wish to have some candid moments in college, Legends Cafe stands committed to serving all. The hotspot for all students to chill after lectures, the zone where students can revise while grabbing a bite- this cafe is the epitome of complete comfort and luxury.

One of the most appreciated features of this cafe is its commitment to serve students round the clock. All dishes are reasonably priced which makes our students prefer this cafe over any other fast food joint outside the university premises. This cafe has been the initiative of DY Patil School of Hospitality & Tourism,managed efficiently by a team of chefs and personnel along with students. Students of the above school who wish to take up part-time jobs and earn while studying are also given a chance to work at the Legends Cafe.

Classrooms

A student’s focus is dependent on a lot of factors- one of the most important factors being environment. The DY Patil Deemed to be University, classrooms are a perfect blend of comfort and functionality, with a seating capacity of over 250. The plush seating coupled with wide, visible screens make the transaction of knowledge easier than ever. The classrooms are designed to incorporate and integrate audio- visual teaching aids for presentations, CMEs and lectures. DYPSOM has piloted comprehensive educational models, newly developed curricula for the undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by this institute.

The classrooms are located on the 3rd, 4th and 5th floor of the Medical College Building. The classrooms are not the only locations where classes are taken. Each para-clinical faculty has its own facilities in the form of “Demo rooms” which are utilized for practical purposes whilst teaching smaller groups. Classrooms have always been dreaded places in any educational facility, however, with the clever coupling of technology and traditional board and pens, the classrooms at DY Patil University have become akin to a haven of knowledge.

Auditorium

The Auditorium of the DY Patil School of Medicine, located centrally on the 6th floor of the college building forms an integral and salient part of the college. It is a well spaced room that can seat around 300 people. The Auditorium is extremely well lit, centrally air-conditioned and is fully equipped with audio-visual facilities. The Auditorium is not only very well equipped but also is a design of great architectural genius and forms one of the most attractive halls in the college.


It is extensively used for conferences, seminars, workshops, symposia, lectures and various events of the institute. It also serves as the venue for many extracurricular activities of the students such as cultural programmes, Fresher’s Night, Dance competitions etc.
