DY Patil Deemed to be University School of Pharmacy arranged an online session (Zoom Platform) for content beyond syllabus lecture for TY B Pharm students on 26th March 2022 (Saturday) at 02:00 pm. Dr. Aakruti Arun Ashwini Kaikini (Postdoctoral researcher at Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology, Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw, Poland) delivered the talk entitled ‘Fundamentals of preclinical pharmacological evaluation’. The lecture was attended by 15 TY B Pharm students and 3 faculty members. The guest was introduced by Ms. Himanshi Chorotiya. The lecture acquainted the students with the basics of research process. The lecture enabled the learners to understand the various preclinical tools used to address the numerous pharmacological nuances in evaluating a test moiety for its efficacy and toxicity. It sensitized the students about the different regulatory agencies that govern the preclinical research. Further she addressed the steps involved in carrying out a successful research starting from defining a problem to arriving at statistical results. Ms. Himanshi Chorotiya proposed a vote of thanks & concluded the session.
