On the Occasion of International Women’s Day, DY PatilDeemed to be University School of Pharmacy had organized a Webinar on Menstrual Hygiene. It was conducted particularly for girls only, to make them aware of menstrual hygiene and what care must be taken. The Speaker for the webinar was Dr. Manisha Matkar, a known Gynecologist. The Webinar was organized by the Women’s Development Cell of DY Patil Deemed to be University School of Pharmacy.

The webinar started with the welcome speech and introduction given by Ms. Warisha Khan. Then, our Principal Dr. Rakesh Somani said few words about the topic and welcomed the speaker. Then the speaker Dr. Manisha Matkar shared her valuable knowledge about Menstruation and menstrual practices which face many social, cultural, and religious restrictions which are a big barrier in the path of the menstrual hygiene management. and also guided everyone about the same. A question and answer session was conducted thereafter, and the questions were very well attended by the speaker.

The vote of thanks was given by Ms. Warisha Khan, where she thanked Dr. Manisha Matkar for sharing her valuable time with us, Dr. Rakesh Somani for supporting us and giving the permission to conduct this webinar, Teacher co-ordinator Ms. JyotiKatkar, all the council members and the entire audience without which the webinar could have not been a success. Finally, the feedback form for the webinar was shared.
