A DYPUSOP Initiative Mahad Flood Relief Campaign

On Monday, 16th August 2021 DY Patil University School of Pharmacy, Navi Mumbai (DYPUSOP) under its initiative of ‘Academic Social Responsibility’ had organized a Flood relief campaign for the residents in Mahad Taluka in the Raigad district of Maharashtra. The entire Mahad region was affected by the flood on 22nd July 2021, So to provide a small helping hand to the residents, DYPUSOP in association with ‘Khandesh Vikas Foundation, Kharghar‘, ‘Maheshwari Welfare Foundation, Kharghar‘, & ‘Sneha Sahyog Sanstha, Panvel‘ provided 150 relief packs which included wheat flour, oil, soaps, garments and other daily essentials which would be beneficial to flood-affected residents. The relief campaign covered Sheel, Dhaltaki & Birwadi villages around Mahad Taluka. The work was an initiative & carried out under the guidance of our principal Dr. Rakesh Somani with the support provided by Mr. Aditya D. Ghuge (Asst. Professor) and our students Mr. Anish Shah (D. Pharmacy), Ms. VaishnaviDabhadkar& Ms. SharvariGujarathi (B. pharmacy) with the help of local Talathi officials and was also covered by the local news channel.
